Best: Agents of SHIELD, by far. Great story line, great conversations, acting, and action.
I have to disagree – and that is hard, because all of my friends dig this show, too. I don’t know – it’s the typical Marvel “Let’s beat people up – and there are superheroes and tits, too.” Guess I’m not so much into superheroes at all. The last Captain America movie was SO BAD, nothing happened all the time! I don’t know how Marvel keeps on getting away with this.
Babylon 5 comes right after it. It would be better if the aliens were a little less stereotypical. I’m a wee bit tired of humanoids that are clearly wearing lots of makeup.
Well, B5 is a series deep from the 90s. If you take that into account, it is very modern. One of my favorite shows, I have to rewatch it soon, since I forgot most of the stuff that happened there. But I still have my Psi-Corps pin on my jacket every day and I like it when people ask me about it. Last week someone thought I’m a member of an occult club somewhere. 😛
Battlestar Galactica is not all that good, in my opinion. There’s way too much profanity (any show that invents its own bad word can’t be good.) Also, it could do with turning down the adultery a little.
Did you only watch the pilot film of the series that never happened – Blood and Chrome? I have to agree, that this could’ve been better.
Otherwise, I love the show. I mean, there are frakkin’ toasters! And women who can act (didn’t have that in the original, there were just there for tits I guess). I even loved the ending, that most people are b*tching about 😆
Star Wars is definitely my least favorite show. The massive amount of total technobabble, the weak story line, and the poor (for this time), amateurish graphics kill it for me. Feel free to bomb my house now in retribution for disliking this show. :silly:
Totally agreed! 🙂

adminKeymasterGood to know, that the UAC of Windows has gotten worse in newer versions. And I thought, this couldn’t happen. -.-
I will rework the Technical FAQ soon and add all this stuff.

adminKeymasterSince GameSpy has gone for good last year, setting up an online game may be difficult.
But I had an idea, the QTracker guys are running alternative master servers here:
http://www.qtracker.com/master-gamespy.php
Maybe online play can be revived with some simple entries into the hostfile or a hexpatch of the game. I will look into it later. 😉

I just discovered that there is a season 10, and maybe 11.
Season 11 of Red Dwarf has already been confirmed and is to be aired at the end of the year:
I just love Red Dwarf! Riding alligators and shooting Nazis, that’s funny even for me as a German. Although it’s a bit sad to see how old the actors all got 🙁
How about: Doctor Who! Both the old and new incarnations. Must be some hands up for those if we are talking SciFi.
Doctor Who used to be my favorite SciFi show, but the last season was really…lame. I just hope it gets more intense with the next one.
Also, the first seasons (the black and white ones) really haven’t aged well. I don’t speak about the video quality, but the storytelling takes so much time, it doesn’t fit into 2015 anymore.

adminKeymasterI just played through a Half-Life 2-Mod called
There are only few Singleplayer modifications out there with really good quality. This is one of them. Giant numbers are falling out of the sky, creepy “things” that look like pieces of architecture are coming to life and attack the humans.
Actually, a portal has been opened to a world where math doesn’t exist and you fight back – with math.
This is so original and crazy, I highly recommend it. Also, there are buildings from Claude Nicolas Ledoux in it! 😛

Programme/Infogrames/Edge of Chaos – Indepedence War 2/mods/
Installing mods is pretty simple – most of the mods come in a ZIP file. This ZIP file has to be copied to the directory:Program Files/Infogrames/Edge of Chaos – Indepedence War 2/mods/
After that, the mods can be activated in the game menu.
Some of the mods have additional configuration options. Nearly every mod has an .html file included in the ZIP file, where all these options are explained.
Let’s take an example: “Custom Jafs” has some options that can be entered into the flux.ini – these options regulate how much Jafs is talking or which freighter he should be flying.
I hope it helps.
adminKeymasterVery helpful 🙂
I will add it to the patches section so people find it easily.
