Diaspora (although I may not keep it)
Why not? I’m really addicted to it now, that’s why I put EoC far away. The fights are very cinematic and the voiceover mission briefings…I feel like in an extended, interactive part of the TV show. 🙂

The Force Feedback effects are quite good, too. You can even feel your ship shaking when a Cylon is flying at high-speed directly over your head – wohooo! 😆 :silly:

I’m also playing Cry of Fear at the moment – it’s available for free on Steam and one of the scaries games I’ve ever played – apart from System Shock II (Shodan just makes me shiver).
B5, BSG, and Firefly of course. ST and SW also go without saying.
I never got into Star Wars like half the planet does. I think it is overly hyped and a big money machine for Disney nowadays. I hope they don’t make it worse like they did TRON.

I watched all the movies, of course. Nothing special, but not bad either. The same goes with Star Trek – the first series is like a time machine and a nice view into the 1960s and that makes it special, but everything that came after has been superseded by other series.

BTW, while we are talking about Star Trek – I really enjoy Star Trek: Continues. They do an outstanding job in continuing the original ST series in every way. Post-processing, set and actors are very close to the original.
If you enjoy time travel stories, check out Continuum.
I didn’t enjoy this show at all. I’ve stopped watching it after season 2. All the time travel stuff got me confused very fast and I was just “out”. All that ever happened there was “Guys attacking here, guys attacking there, next episode” – a little boring for me. 😉

However, I recently watched the movie “Predestination” – an astonishing movie. It wasn’t quite what I expected about time travel, but I can’t tell anything more because that would give away the whole ending. It’s definitely worth a watch, though:

Aaaaaand – no one mentioned Stargate yet! Stargate has everything! Moral, Justice, some badass main characters, powerful enemies, awesome CGI…just skip Universe (well, the 3 hours of intro were good) and you have one of the best SciFi series out there.
Europa Report was good. Moon.
Europa Report was outstanding for a low-budget film. The only thing that bothered me was the fact, that they couldn’t decide whether to stand or to float in space. It was still very enjoyable 😉

It’s even available on Steam officially nowadays.

The game looks like a FPS/Space Combat combiner – I will surely check it out. It reminds me of a game I played on the first Xbox a while back were you played as a mercenary and in between the battles you had to fly around in your ship. You could even leave the controls and run around in your ship while it kept flying. I just don’t remember the name…

Edit: It was “Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter”:

These make up for some serious wallpapers. Thanks!

I think I will add them to the Goodies section here 🙂 Everything in one place.

    That. Looks. Awesome.

I’m not THAT excited about Science Fiction books, since they are still being made and haven’t vanished that much.

But SciFi TV series are almost nonexistant anymore. I love some good old space operas! The last thing we had on TV was the remake of Battlestar Galactica (which was awesome) and then…nothing happened anymore.

I still remember the good old 90s with Star Trek, Babylon 5, seaQuest, Earth 2, Stargate and many many more…I’m looking forward to this! 🙂

BTW, I have also found a lot of well-written Fanfictions, even a crossover with BSG…I will add these to the website very soon.

Okay, I will reconsider adding all Torn Stars-related material into the Downloads section, since you all seem to like it so much. 😉

It seems like this problem already started to appear 11 years ago:

    http://www.i-war2.com/forum/technical/1776-weird-graphics?start=6#11926

Maybe the fix in there works for you. If it’s not, there is a little program called 3D Analyzer:

    http://www.3dcenter.org/download/3d-analyze

It has a lot of options to trick games into using the CPU instead of the GPU for various tasks, which may fix these glitches, too.
It is a pity that you do not want to collect everything in one place.
I do want to collect everything that I can find. But if you look into the forums, you can find this section:

Torn Stars – The new name for Epic: Middle States

I’m pretty sure, Soup named it like this because Torn Stars is the latest version of Epic: Middle States. They have their own website, there is no need to copy everything from them:

    http://www.torn-stars.com
