ParticipantWe have an ancient TV screen that predates 1080p. We thought it was so cool that it wasn’t a CRT! 😆 We use it to watch movies as a family or play Gran Turismo 5 on my brother’s PS3, but we’ve seen a grand total of 1 TV broadcast on it. If we want to watch a TV show, we get it on DVD.
But yeah, every time I play I-War 2 I think “not as shiny as ED, not as techy as SC, but somehow it still looks stunning!” :cheer:
Also, that flickering you mentioned may be simple z-fighting, which I-War 2 suffers from a lot.–IronDuke

Very little about the game is not known to me. Any questions you got, throw them at me. 🙂IronDuke
ParticipantNo problem, although it’ll have to be a post 1.0 thing. It would indeed take some extra work. I know how important modding support is, since I’m an old modder of I-War 2 and owe my interest in video game development to that. Technically, the fact that this game has more than 1 player a year is owed to that as well. It’s the modders that have kept it alive. B)

ParticipantWell, I don’t website on phones, since all I have is a dumbphone, so you know what my answer to that is.
Do whatever you have to, sure. I just don’t see the point of doing things that may be completely unnecessary. Phones can zoom in, you know. 😛–IronDuke

ParticipantNot there yet, but the entire thing is to be coded in C#, which UNity has integrated and I have 4 years of “experience” in.

Participant2 ways.
Fly inside the accelerator structure (don’t hit that shield!) and shoot beam weapons at the bright lights along the surface. If you look closely, there’s a little antenna in each one. That’s what you’re destroying.
Another way is to hit the center of the shield with a Deathblow remote missile. The explosion will wipe out all the antennas. This is the hilarious method. The other one is the realistic one. 😉–IronDuke

ParticipantYou may be puppy-eyeing for a while… school is still in the way.
That said, this week I’ve been tinkering with AI movement using PID controllers. I’ve gotten a ship to be able to move to a specific position, without overshooting, and without regards to orientation. This is important because it’s part of making sure the AIs can move using all 6 DOF.
Anyway, welcome to the forums!–IronDuke

ParticipantOk. First, the folders are case sensitive. Keep them to all lowercase letters so they match the ones in resource.zip. Second, the .ini file is incorrectly named. It needs to have exactly the same name as the file you want it to replace. In this case, that’s tug.ini. Finally, there’s a bug with mod folder names. If there is a space in the name, then for some reason it will turn the mod off every single time you launch the game. Instead of spaces use an underscore: _
I’ve attached a .zip with these changes; try that.
