Well, escapetug.ini should only modify the tug used right when you escape from the prison camp. That tug had a normal crew module, instead of the Advanced ComSec, and predefined weapons, so it got its own .ini file. Ironduke should be better able to help you.

Don’t rush this stage, Ataraiym. This was one of the most enjoyable parts of the game for me. I assume you only brought in a few pods and made a few kills because you kept dying and having to start over? I enjoy the realism that you are not the strongest thing in the world, and have to be very careful who you pick a fight with. Just get what you can, and as you upgrade your weapons and develop new fighting strategies, you will be able to take on more, and will die less.

The game is so nice to give us so many red targets. 👿

Yes. Otherwise, we would be shooting at yellow ones a lot more often, and would eventually quit from a guilty conscience. 😛

Since I still haven’t gotten a reply from Hot4Darmat, perhaps there is another option. In the DirecxtX8 thread, Schmatzler successfully contacted Stephen Robertson. This was much more recently than our last known contact with Hot4. Also, I believe Stephen Robertson was responsible for managing the Paper Models website, so he could very likely have a backup. What do you think of this idea, Schmatzler? Also, do you want to send the message, since he knows who you are, or should I?

Perhaps you could attach a screenshot that shows the problem?

Even if you haven’t saved your game progress, the game automatically creates the Autosave when you dock to your base, so the folder shouldn’t be empty.

If you installed the game, deleted it, and then re-installed it in a different directory, you may be looking at the wrong one. I think I have encountered a problem before where the computer will register file associations in a certain place. If you have two installs, both .exes will run the same files, so you may think you are using a certain group of files, when you are not.

I will be off for a couple of answers and will not be able to answer questions till later.

    No reply yet from Hot4Darmat…

But I did find this: http://www.yqcomputer.com/1181_303_1.htm

I also found this: http://joshflight.webs.com/papermodels.htm but that just links to other sites.

    Next, I found this: http://hub.hobbiesncrafts.org/hub/papermodelwebrin?list&page=1
It is the Paper Models Webring site Schmatzler mentioned. It may have moved to a new site. It shows the Independence War Paper Models page, but I can’t get to it. It says i.hobbiesncrafts.org took too long to respond. 🙁

Heh heh. Here Duncan Day posted that GOG tried to add the paper models as bonus content for the game, when they added it to their site.
