You should really check it out. The BRD or DVD is available for a few bucks used, and it’s definitely the best sci-fi space show that came before BSG. Also, the SFX were done by the same company that did the first one or two seasons of BSG (Zoic).

How about you send the programmer (Alesto) an email? From his SourceForget site, it should be this: http://sourceforge.net/u/alesto/profile/

If anyone, he should be able to give you some insight. His project certainly looks interesting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymsAbe0S1aQ

Who knows, maybe he ran into limitations of the IWar2 scripting engine or whatever… Anyway, I’d be happy if you’d keep us posted.

I can only agree to that. IronDuke, the only article I could show you right away is in German, so that would be of little use for you. However, unless your brother means that Windows 10 offers privacy through the use of a spykiller software, he is clearly mistaken.

I think we had this conversation already, and not too long ago. Or was that in the Steam forum? Anyway, I remember that I had bought I-War 1 on release and loved it, despite it being so frustratingly hard.

I-War 2, however, was a whole different beast. Initially, I was quite hyped for the game, but before I bought it I wanted to give its demo version a spin. And what can I say: I didn’t like it at all. Nothing about this game touched me, nothing at all. Only many many years later, when both games were released on GOG.com, I decided to buy it and try it out for myself.

And what can I say: I really liked it a lot! Granted, the game is full of design flaws and could have easily been better and WAY more successful (they sold like 50k copies, compared to 350k for I-War 1), but it’s still beautiful and really not bad once you get the hang of it.

In the end, while I don’t play it very often, I do love to get my tug out for a spin or to kill a few pirates/marauders here and there, just to give poor old Jafs something to do. 😉

I have it too, but I never ever ran into those sorts of issues. I can only guess that this is due to the integrated graphics of your CPU. Intel CPUs have notoriously bad iGPU drivers (or maybe it’s something with the hardware that the drivers can’t fix?). I ran into these reports for other games, too, so it may not be solely related to I-War 2. Did you experience issues with other games as well?

I really wonder what’s going on behind their scenes. To this day, I don’t really have an idea how this game will play, I don’t really know anything. They could at least show what they have – which hopefully is more than just a bunch of CGI screens and concept art.
