Yeah, I guess that’s what Marvel movies are intended to. I don’t even want to have a plotline in a Marvel movie where I have to think too much at the end of the day.
But that doesn’t justify no plotline at all, like in the last Captain America π But that’s okay, he’s a hero that represents a nation being proud of itself, they can do that. I’m just glad we don’t have “KapitΓ€n Germany” here and that’s strange, since we Germans tend to copy a lot of things and make them worse. π

adminKeymaster
I have one other space-sim beside Independence War. it is called INCA II
I love old DOS Games and wanted to give this a try, but then I saw the horrible real actors and their “voice acting” on Youtube:
It’s so hilarious! π I don’t know if I really want to play this. π
But to be fair, there seems to be a version without this stuff in it.
When we’re talking about DOS Games, I have a lot of games I still enjoy playing. I had them back in the old days when I was little and knew nothing about doing websites and such.
– Extreme Assault from Bluebyte Interactive:
This is one of the best and latest DOS games that were made. 3Dfx graphics up to XGA, Joystick + Force Feedback support and the ability to fly helicopters and drive tanks to destroy everything! It never gets old for me π
– I also love playing all the Commander Keen Games, they are on Steam now:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/9180/
– and Project Paradise. That’s a top-down shooter with some RPG elements, pretty nice for that era. You can play a soldier, a hacker and a magician fighting against evil things from the underworld:

adminKeymasterI never had this problem at all – I’ve never died because of the autopilot, that’s what it’s for after all.
Are you playing this on new windows versions or do you have a non-mainstream antivirus maybe?
When digging through the GOG forums I came to the conclusion that various security software like DEP on Windows or some antiviruses can prevent the I-War games from running properly. They just block some of the code by default and we end up with things like the well-known empty-menu bug and so on.
I’m sure that could also wreak havoc on some of the calculations ingame. Maybe try running it in compatibility mode for XP, disable the DEP and your antivirus. There are instructions in the help section here.
If it’s not that, I’m out of ideas.

adminKeymasterI never liked his bitching and the small ship he has for transporting stuff. But there is a mod for that, so I have nothing to complain about regarding him anymore. π

adminKeymasterI’d really like to have or build the Storm Petrel as a model. Never have been a modeling guy, but that thing looks really awesome ingame. π
But Maxx, your skills are very good – Doge would say “Wow. Such detail. Much graphics” π

adminKeymasterI’ve decided to go with another image for the facelift:
“Auros” by Davide Bettio
The image comes with kde-wallpapers. The original resolution is 5408×3464, so we should be good with most screens for the next few years.
I think it fits the mood of the game and website very well. If you do or don’t like it, leave a comment π

adminKeymasterOh right! That would be perfect to have.
I will ask the author if I’m allowed to use this.

adminKeymaster
Best: Agents of SHIELD, by far. Great story line, great conversations, acting, and action.
I have to disagree – and that is hard, because all of my friends dig this show, too. I don’t know – it’s the typical Marvel “Let’s beat people up – and there are superheroes and tits, too.” Guess I’m not so much into superheroes at all. The last Captain America movie was SO BAD, nothing happened all the time! I don’t know how Marvel keeps on getting away with this.
Babylon 5 comes right after it. It would be better if the aliens were a little less stereotypical. I’m a wee bit tired of humanoids that are clearly wearing lots of makeup.
Well, B5 is a series deep from the 90s. If you take that into account, it is very modern. One of my favorite shows, I have to rewatch it soon, since I forgot most of the stuff that happened there. But I still have my Psi-Corps pin on my jacket every day and I like it when people ask me about it. Last week someone thought I’m a member of an occult club somewhere. π
Battlestar Galactica is not all that good, in my opinion. There’s way too much profanity (any show that invents its own bad word can’t be good.) Also, it could do with turning down the adultery a little.
Did you only watch the pilot film of the series that never happened – Blood and Chrome? I have to agree, that this could’ve been better.
Otherwise, I love the show. I mean, there are frakkin’ toasters! And women who can act (didn’t have that in the original, there were just there for tits I guess). I even loved the ending, that most people are b*tching about π
Star Wars is definitely my least favorite show. The massive amount of total technobabble, the weak story line, and the poor (for this time), amateurish graphics kill it for me. Feel free to bomb my house now in retribution for disliking this show. :silly:
Totally agreed! π
