I didn’t even need that many steps to run the game.

My latest test results are here:

    https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=7386

I only needed to install and patch the game, run:

    winetricks quartz directplay

and then disable winegstreamer in winecfg.

Afterwards, it worked fine. But I’m on a European system and that corrupts the flux.ini sometimes, so I had to do the LC_ALL fix, too. Maybe that affects Torn Stars, too?

There’s already a trailer for the TV series. With some remarkable faces, like Mike from Breaking Bad. 🙂

I only know the three movies. I don’t watch many animes, mostly western ones.

I’ve seen Ghost in the Shell, though – the first movie I believe. It was awesome and I want to watch the series. Basically, I want more – but there’s no time in between I-War and other things.^^

The first Appleseed movie was great. Intense action, a little love, a decent plot…and 2D characters in a 3D world looked really unique.
The second one wasn’t super-great (yeah, white doves! Let’s do more doves!), but it was watchable.

The third one killed the franchise for me. The animations looked really cheap and broke the immersion of the series completely. And the plot was like a 5 year old wrote it. Also…sooo many pauses in the movie! I almost fell asleep.

I’ve decided to skip Appleseed XIII because of that.

I’ve managed to sneak even more reviews from Computer magazines into the website.

Some of the German ones are hilarious – CBS couldn’t decide how the game was called. They called it “Independent Wars” and on a later article “I-Wars”. But the graphics are pretty cool:

I also like the big 6-pager from CGW. That’s what a frakkin’ article should look like:

I guess I’m pretty much a Tomb Raider now. Need more I-War things!

I’m really looking forward to The Expanse. I miss space shows so much on TV 🙂

If I remember correctly, we already have a forum thread for this.

    UK£ 39.99 = 55.6519876 €

I will never pay that much money for a game.

Elite is on my wishlist (You never know until you played it), but I will wait for a sale – after all, it’s just frakkin’ software that may be shit. 😀
never mind… its back down to 27. must have been a glitch in the matrix
Sometimes when I add a bunch of new files, the Googlebot will come and crawl them all at once.

When I first started up this site in December and changed all the links, the Googlebot almost took the website down until it was finished. 😉 I think that’s what raised the counter.

There is a little bump in the Steam counter when I did that news article, so at least 4 other people bought the game that day 😉
Bah, Multiplayer again. I always get the feeling that they are just too laze to build a proper Singleplayer game
No, that’s not true! They will build one, they just have to raise the 17mil! 😆

    17mil.png

I know, it most likely won’t happen. But why is Singleplayer getting more and more into the background? Is it just because of the general lazyness of developers?

I don’t think so. There is a bigger market for kids that want to battle online – you can do micro-transactions easily and force them to pay more stuff to win over their opponents.

You can’t sell that easy for a Singleplayer game – people will just quit that and never come back. But to win against real human beings…that always works. It’s the shit that EA does all the time.
