After all, you can’t really see if Smith hasn’t already swapped out the old tubes with shiny LCD’s and just kept the housing 🙂

It’s in the Summer Sale now, so I expect more people coming up. 2.99€ for the next 10 days, this is a really good deal. 🙂

Well, Lucrecia’s Base is pretty old and was abandoned a long time ago by Cal’s grandma – so it might have been the thought of the developers to have outdated technology in there.

The prison also uses these monitors a long time later, though:

My best guess is that the dev’s just went with the thing that was most familiar at the time or they just thought “Well, the prison doesn’t need fancy technology, it’s just a damn prison”.

I think Lucrecia’s base has this rugged, muddy, ghostly feeling to it. Having shiny flatscreens in there wouldn’t really fit the mood.

I just checked – some of the gamesaves aren’t named correctly.

Make sure to put it in the save folder and rename it to “savegame0.sav” – it loaded for me then. I got a save file called “savegame06.sav” which didn’t work without renaming.

Not exactly in the main directory, it goes into

    C:/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/Independence War 2 – Edge of Chaos/saves/

Just put the .sav file into the “saves” folder inside the game.

If there is not saves folder, create one and put the file in there. 🙂

The games saves are in a folder called “saves” in the game directory.

Other people are popping up on Steam and GOG with this issue now:

I really think this is a problem with a third-party program, because I can confirm that the game saves fine on Windows 7.

Where exactly did you install the game? Normally, it would be placed in c:/GOG Games.
