This is where I plan to post some of the initial traffic development progress reports.
So, to kick things off:
I have a prototype traffic script that is doing basic behaviour modeling for freighters trading between stations. This currently supports:
* trade group sizes driven from ini file configuration
* randomisation of escort ship types in a class
* factions having specific ship models
* inital escort behaviour
* delayed sim culling
* safe parking from stations to avoid massive congestion at dock ports
* ability for the player to follow/escort a freighter group between stations
