System Empires is a web-based game, made in Portugal and under development since February of 2006.

The game stands out of the other ones for the attention given to the suggestions in the forum, in short, the whole direction of the development has been guided by what most of the players ask.

Recently the English version was added to the game as a way to allow a larger variety of players. 😉
A normal edition ( http://www.sysemp.com ) is currently online and open for registration and another version ( http://civ.sysemp.com ) is planned for March.

The game’s goal is to create an empire that can face the rivaling empires, throughout the Solar System.
Each player can have 11 regions spread across the 8 planets (+ Pluto) of the Solar system, where each planet has different characteristics.

A player can construct buildings, develop technologies, build terrestrial vehicles, ships and armament in each region.
There are five types of resources (Metal, Diamond, Hydrogen, Zion and Nanites) each obtained by the respective producing building, and Robots that help in the construction of buildings and in the recycling process of battles’ debris.

There is also a Market, managed by an AI, where all the players can exchange their spare resources for other ones and have access to the Interplanetary Portal.

From time to time Comets tend to fall, in order to fight them off players must join forces and firepower to avoid the collision between these Comets and their regions which would destroy part of their buildings, defenses and resources.

Currently under development: Joint Attacks, Joint Defenses, Joint Recycling, Mother Ship (ship with customizing capacity, built in modules that the player buys), among others.
