Since nobody has really has a chance to see it yet I thought it would be fun to post some pics of an “attack” run on a Star Destroyer. Obviously there’s no real attack going on here, but I had to do it this way because I couldn’t get anywhere near a fully armed and aggresive Star Destroyer in Instant Action without having my ass handed to me on a platter by a few of the SD’s 24 guns and it’s launched Tie Fighter escorts. (fyi – “real” Star Destroyers have something like 200 guns.)
Making the approach from over 2 kilometers away.
Skimming the surface, headed for the main dorsal structures.
Getting close to the upper shield generator (on the surface of the next ridge). Maybe I can take it out from here.
Should I make my escape, or pull up and attack the bridge?
I pull up! After getting off a few shots at the bridge crew, I fly through the canyon between the port sensor globe (on right) and the upper bridge tower structure.
Sort of an aft view of that last pic.
Coming around for a rear attack.
Skimming down the length of the hull on the port side.
A low approach this time.
Up and over, this time through the middle of the upper bridge structure.
Whew! That was exciting. Time to head over to the pilot’s lounge for a round of drinks. [8D]
