Sometimes when I add a bunch of new files, the Googlebot will come and crawl them all at once.
When I first started up this site in December and changed all the links, the Googlebot almost took the website down until it was finished. ๐ I think that’s what raised the counter.
There is a little bump in the Steam counter when I did that news article, so at least 4 other people bought the game that day ๐

12. June 2015 at 11:15 #17960adminKeymasterIt’s in the Summer Sale now, so I expect more people coming up. 2.99โฌ for the next 10 days, this is a really good deal. ๐

12. June 2015 at 12:29 #17964AdmiralZeratulParticipantWhen I saw that I-War 2 was on Steam, I bought it immediately. Ever since I first played this game as a child, I’ve loved it. To see such a classic on my favorite digital game distribution platform was such a pleasant surprise! It also reminded me of this old site that I used to go to so often. I visited the site again, and it turns out that it has been given new life as well!
Simply put, words fail to describe my joy at all this.
Overthinking is kind of a habit of mine.
23. December 2015 at 1:07 #18634adminKeymasterIt’s on sale again! It was in autumn – they just did it for winter, too. ๐

Some of the bugs seem familiar, from what I encountered with my disk version of Independence War. Does the Steam version come with 3dfx installed?

13. February 2017 at 19:43 #19464adminKeymasternGlide is in the directory of I-War, but it doesn’t work. That’s why one of the posts in the Steam forums suggests reinstalling nGlide on top of the old one to make it work.
That’s really sloppy. Seems like they didn’t test it at all. Also, in some parts of Steam the game image shows “Alone in the Dark”. I made an article about it on the frontpage.

13. February 2017 at 23:24 #19465ChesskingParticipantHeh heh. I saw the article header on the frontpage, but didn’t think to see if there was more to read.
So manually installing nGlide and following the procedures in FAQ should get things running properly.
However, if the game is indeed like my disk version, players may encounter a problem on the mission where you have to evacuate workers from a station that has been set to self destruct. Often times, when heading to the station, your wingman will never arrive at its destination, making it difficult to fend off the enemies. I have never beaten this mission on the disk version, and have not gotten that far on my GOG version to see if the bug persists, so I can’t tell you more. It should be beatable even with the bug, but you will have to restart the level many times just to get your wingman’s help, and many more to actually complete the objective.

Very little about the game is not known to me. Any questions you got, throw them at me. ๐14. February 2017 at 10:52 #19467ChesskingParticipantWell that’s good! Beating it on your third try, that is. Not the cold that is making you very strange.

16. February 2017 at 7:58 #19468ChesskingParticipantPerhaps my problem is that I have the “I can’t hit anything, although I hear the hit sound!” bug, and haven’t fixed it yet. I have an AMD graphics card, so I installed the RadeonPro program that was linked in the help section.
However, I can’t get it to work. I have created a custom profile and set the target to the game launcher. I set alibi’s for the other executables. I set Dynamic Framerate Control to 30fps, and also turned on the OSD, and set it to display framerate. Upon starting the game nothing is different. I downloaded and used Fraps to see that my framerate is not capped.
I don’t know if anyone else has an AMD graphics card, but help would be appreciated.
