WOW I forgot how much harder Pog is than Unity’s C#! It will take somewhat longer than I though to make the mod. Should be done by the end of the day unless chores bite me in the butt. Plenty of time for you all to notice. π–IronDuke
P.S. There is something inherently exciting about seeing all the functions in the Pog scripting SDK; kinda makes me feel like diving into modding for weeks on end. :S

ParticipantOk, the mod is made and working exactly as intended. π It’s almost my bedtime though, so I’ll comment the code and tidy up the dirty bits tomorrow, as well as upload it.

ParticipantThanks! I’ll see when I can try it out. If you need anything else to do, I thought of something I think would add to the game. There is a strange absence of Heavy Corvettes in Instant Action. Adding these in would raise the bar to a more realistic level, especially when flying the Heavy Corvette.

ParticipantI noticed that as well; they have a hardcoded list of ships to use, which doesn’t include very many of those in the game. But I posted a little surprise just now. π I think that’ll answer you well.

I now remember looking into the script system of I-war a little bit, and I found that I cannot open .pkg files correctly. I little insight into this would be helpful.
Never mind, I downloaded the scripting SDK and found these are the compiled code files.

About that, I wanted to ask: Does the mod apply for the normal game or just for the skirmish stuff? Meaning, will the missions get harder?

ParticipantIf you are in space, the mod is on, and AI ships exist within 400km, then it applies to them. So yes, normal game, instant action, even scenarios if the mod is on. π

ParticipantIt depends on the observer. In my case, I didn’t notice it as being more taxing on my skill, but it did take longer to kill them and I took more damage from them. At one point I stupidly stopped my Petrel right in front of a patcom for one second and almost died.
Another point it took almost a full minute to kill a Marauder even with twin neutrons simply because he was so good a dodging.

I don’t know if they have their AI set below max, but if so, then yes. The thing is, all ships have an AI mindset thingy applied when they are created. Military, coward, bold, etc. I think there’s a special one that only the T-fighters get. Basically these mindsets govern reaction times, what maneuvers are performed, how the ship reacts to things like superior foes, all that jazz. Because the T-fighters seem to ahve a different flight style than your average ship, I get the suspicion that they have a custom mindset.
I never detach them because lazy and they get killed, so I’m not entirely sure whether they have their AI preset at the default 80%. If they do though, they definitely are improved by the mod.Now you’ve sparked my interest in having them fly detached. B)
TLDR: Very probably.
