Ever since I started watching Firefly (didn’t pick up the series until after Serenity was released), I can’t help notice some parallels between it and I-War2. I used to play the Firefly soundtrack when playing EoC a lot back in the day.
Well now there’s Firefly: The Game – a boardgame that I’ve been really enjoying that stays true to the TV series, and gives me that ‘badlands cluster pirating’ feel.
I highly recommend it if you like tabletop gaming at all.

I haven’t played it, but it looks awesome! If I had a 3-d printer, I would print out EOC ships, and create customized cards for them.
This is one tough navy, boy. They donβt give you time off, even for being dead. -Clay

16. October 2015 at 19:17 #18424SarxisParticipantI’ve seen some links about the online game, but I haven’t seen the game itself. I keep seeing the ‘Cortex’ companion app links on Steam, but that is all.

Wouldn’t call a project dead after not posting for a few weeks π After all, this website came back after years of not doing anything π
Space. The final frontier.
3. November 2015 at 16:56 #185127upManParticipantI really wonder what’s going on behind their scenes. To this day, I don’t really have an idea how this game will play, I don’t really know anything. They could at least show what they have – which hopefully is more than just a bunch of CGI screens and concept art.
21. November 2015 at 2:15 #18581AdmiralZeratulParticipantI don’t really know anything about Firefly. I’ve heard it’s really good though.
Overthinking is kind of a habit of mine.
30. November 2015 at 23:52 #185917upManParticipantYou should really check it out. The BRD or DVD is available for a few bucks used, and it’s definitely the best sci-fi space show that came before BSG. Also, the SFX were done by the same company that did the first one or two seasons of BSG (Zoic).

Very little about the game is not known to me. Any questions you got, throw them at me. π2. August 2016 at 19:50 #191647upManParticipantDid you follow the commotion regarding Firefly Online? Seems development is halted and neither side wants to talk. Well, too bad that things came this far. π
2. August 2016 at 23:18 #19166IronDukeParticipantSure didn’t. I have more games than I can easily find the time to play. :silly: Just wish they’d have finished developing. We need moar space games.

Also, I was utterly unprepared for the quantity of blood/gore and adult themes in the show; wish I’d waited ten years or so. While the show was more immersive than some others, I think B5 was almost infinitely better. π
