This will serve mainly as a reminder for me to make some stuff happen (I have a very bad mind):
Some old forum threads seem to have broken titles. The search function doesn’t display them. I did some major database brainstorming and fixed all old forum posts.
You should be able to read all old posts without whacky code stuff in them. Pictures (if still available), links, quotes and text formatting in them should work again, too.

The bottom of the page now displays the latest files added to the site and also the ones most downloaded (based on the counter, since we don’t have enough ratings at the moment).
“Custom Jafs” is currently the mod most people like to have – I knew that would happen. 😀

You’ll finally get a notification in the top bar if someone writes you a message.
I’ll think about pinning the bar so it never vanishes and is always accessible.
Also, online users are now green in the forums for easier distinction 🙂

It’s now possible to switch to a different timezone in the settings.
I live in Germany and the machine is there, too – we have GMT +2 at the moment, so this is the default for the website. You can change it if you have problems.
We also have a nice I-War related error message, if something breaks: http://www.i-war2.com/404
My next goal will be setting up a simple mobile design to make the new ranking system of Google happy. They rank websites bad when they are not mobile-friendly. Stupid decision by them, but we’ll have to adjust to that.

I’m finished with implementing the fonts and some of the GUI elements I found in the Online Beta of I-War 2 into the website design.
I thought about using the fonts more often, but they are really hard to read. In the game they created a second font which is basically just the first one but extremely wide to be readable again. 😛
So I’m using the I-War font very subtle. Just in the menu and in headings. I think it’s a nice touch and every player will recognize it instantly.

Another TODO which seems trivial, but is quite complex:
– Make sure the flux.log doesn’t get deleted when the server crashes
– Parse the log file, extract the player statistics
– Display them nicely on the websiteThis will take a lot of time, I’m really rusty with scripting things. But it might get a little competition going on here. 😉

Fixed comment subscribers never getting any e-mails.
We already got a bunch of comments on articles and downloads, but I also missed them because the system was broken.
I will integrate a recent comments box in the menu soon.
Edit: A comments tab has been added to the menu. You can see your own comments and replies there.

Haha, thank you! I got a smartphone round about a week ago and now I can browse this place more easily with it. 😀 Also, I love that background! It looks like the Drake system in the Gagarin cluster. :3
