Hiring more then 1 wingman

After finishing the tutorial, I and my wingman started trading minerals between two adjacing systems.
As I can now afford to hire a second wingman, I was looking around the mining base or processing base if some pilots are for hire, but for some reason there is nobody interested in getting the job.

Do I need to bribe the company or faction the pilot is belonging to, to get him working for me?
