Heavy Corvette vs. Advanced Patrol Combatant

Does any body else prefer the Heavy Corvette over the Advanced Patcom?
I know the Advanced Patcom has a much higher power to mass ratio and is a better combat ship…but the extra weapons and the layers of redundancy and the flexibility of the Heavy Corvette Make up for that.

This I have found to be the case because I haven’t failed a single mission (I have Elite 2 patch) since I got the Heavy Corvette (which I acquired extremely fast).
